In the wake of the exciting and promising new statements from the author of The Batman 2, we would like to point out an interesting rumor that emerged from the famous scooper Daniel Richtman, who spoke to his followers about the future of the saga by Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson.
Robert Pattinson’s experience as the Dark Knight could end sooner than expected: after years of delays for The Batman Part II, new rumors suggest that DC Studios is pushing to complete Matt Reeves’ trilogy at a faster pace. Insider DanielRPK revealed that The Brave and the Bold may not be coming anytime soon, because James Gunn wants The Batman 3 to be released sooner.
“Oh, I’ve been told that The Brave and the Bold won’t be coming for several years,” Daniel said during a discussion on Discord with his followers. “Gunn is pushing to get The Batman 3 out as quickly as possible. He wants the trilogy to end before he finally turns the page and releases The Brave and The Bold. He doesn’t want two Batmen in theaters.”
This rumor points to a possible interesting change in DC Studios’ plans: although Gunn has publicly defended Matt Reeves’ methodical approach to directing, the reality behind closed doors suggests the need for a more urgent timeline to conclude Robert Pattinson’s story, at least according to Daniel Richtman’s sources.
Gunn himself has spoken in the past about the logistical problem of bringing two different live-action Batman sagas to the big screen, so speeding up the production of The Batman 3 and postponing that of Batman: The Brave & The Bold could be a wise move. remember that Robert Pattinson’s Batman exists as an Elseworlds saga, separate from the main DCU continuity, while Batman: The Brave and the Bold will introduce a completely new Batman who will tie into James Gunn’s interconnected universe that began with Superman.
The Batman: Part II will be released on October 1, 2027, and at that point, if DC speeds things up, it’s possible that The Batman 3 could arrive as early as 2029 or 2030. At that point, the Batman: The Brave and the Bold saga will have the next decade at its disposal…
We’ll keep you updated, but in the meantime, catch up on everything we know about The Batman 2.
